mySilicon Compass seeks a full-time Program Associate to play an integral role in the company’s mission and growth by supporting the team across all activities and daily operations. In executing their responsibilities, the Program Associate will have the opportunity to gain substantive experience in a dynamic startup and gain a deep knowledge of the growing field of semiconductors and technology policy and partnerships. The Program Associate will play a vital role in key projects and high-level planning, organization, business development, scheduling, and logistics coordination.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a friendly and team player demeanor, good attention to detail, and be proactive in finding opportunities to organize and manage tasks.

II. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and integrates senior leader actions, events, and activities. This requires regularly engaging with senior team leaders, attending meetings, creating minutes and tracking action items.
  • Manages calendars for such activities as meetings, conferences, and external engagements. This includes making and coordinating all travel arrangements, including scheduling, itinerary details, reservations, preparation of travel vouchers and pre and post trip reports and other related correspondence.
  • Reviews, proofreads, and formats all correspondence prepared for the President and CEO’s signature to ensure accuracy and completeness, as well as consistency with organizational policy. Follow-up with staff to ensure deadlines are met. Reviews other prepared documents requiring the President and CEO’s signature, such as purchase orders, contracts, etc.
  • Provides the President and CEO with background information and/or supporting documents in preparation for scheduled appointments, meetings, speaking engagements, conferences, interviews, etc.
  • Works on special projects of an administrative nature as directed by the President and CEO. As necessary, attends meetings and events as an observer or note taker for the executive management team.
  • Receives incoming correspondence (telephone calls, email), prioritizing and determining its disposition. Drafts responses or briefs executive management utilizing good knowledge of the company’s priority activities.
  • Forecasts potential requirements, and de-conflicts problems, plans and project time for mySilicon client base.
  • Responds to and handles confidential and sensitive information with poise, tact, and diplomacy.

III. Supervision and Guidance Received

The Program Associate reports directly to the President and CEO while providing services to the executive management team. Instructions given with assignments are general, indicating clear objectives to be attained.

IV. Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least three years’ experience supporting a General Counsel, Executive Director, President/CEO, COO, or other similar senior-level executive.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with executives and to coordinate a high volume of diverse assignments, effectively handle competing priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
